Photo-A-Day #1822

Happy Easter! Easter Sunday here at our house was wonderful. We had planned on doing an Egg hunt at 8:00am. I did not count on the morning dew making the yard wet so we waited until after 10:15 Mass. Eva had a very fun morning. She woke up early and was surprised to find an Easter basket with Play-Doh and The Princess and the Frog (Blue-Ray Combo Pack). After that we got Eva dressed in her very sparkly dress and also Bitty Baby in her matching one.

Mass was nice and it was packed with so many CAPE Catholics (Christmas, Advent, Palm Sunday and Easter). We had a nice time. Eva was so cute talking with people in front and behind us.

After Mass we went home and Eva opened a few gifts and then it was time for her to do her Easter Egg Hunt. I went out and hid eggs all over the yard. I hid eggs filled with chocolates, change, dollar bills and some Hot Wheels cars.

Watching Eva have such a wonderful time searching for eggs was one of those moments where you just melt. She was so excited for egg searching and she found them all pretty well. It did take about a half hour because she would find an egg, open it or have us help open it and then she’d give the egg to Allison and put the insides into her basket. She’d do it over and over, it was so fun. She loved the cars as well as the change.

The rest of the afternoon was nice and we were visited by the Easter Bunny. Our neighbor’s grandson came over dressed as the Easter Bunny. When Eva saw him she lit up and screamed, “I’ve been looking for you all day!” That was adorable.
