There’s certainly not much to write about when you work all night long and sleep all day long.
I’ve found that if I don’t go and take a photo before I go to sleep I end up taking a photo of something that I have on my desk. I have a lot of toys on my desk, mostly Transformers or transformers related items. This one is a character called Sandstorm. Sandstorm was a later season Triple Changer for the Autobots. Sandstorm is still an Autobot and also a triple changer but instead of a helicopter/robot/dune buggy. Now Sandstorm is a dune buggy/robot/mobile weapon station. I thought that he looked cool especially with a human alliance character. Good robot and vehicle modes.
I completely agree with you on the work all day/sleep all day thing. My boyfriend works nights, and once our daughter was big enough to enjoy hanging out with Daddy, she ended up staying up later and later so she could see him when he got home. Of course, since that was anywhere from 5-6am, I had to nip that one in the bud because we were completely nocturnal at that point. Now she’ll go down anywhere from midnight to 2am, but that still means the entire morning is gone slept away.
You know what that means: missing the mailman or the UPS guy, waking up early and both of us dragging to checkup appointments across town (which always screws with the baby nap routine, which makes for a cranky baby), and not really feeling awake or feel like doing anything until around 3 or 4, which means dealing with traffic. Of course, living in the Pac NW, during the fall and winter, living by those hours means never seeing the daylight.
It’s rough. I completely sympathize with the, “Hey, it’s here on my desk, it works” motif. We do similar things around here because most days, Mommy’s just too dang tired. =)
Delena
Delena,
Yeah Sunday is usually the worst for me. I’m really beat but Monday is starting to get better for me and my sleeping habits. We’ll see.
