Today The Avengers Movie came out. Sadly, I have to wait till Monday to go and see it. But I am very excited to see it Monday in IMAX. To tide me over there is Free Comic Book Day tomorrow. I got the kids some retro looking Avengers T-Shirts and one for myself. They will be in costume too. But there even more than that available for both comic book fans and Avengers fans. Disney Publishing recently unveiled the brand new 36-page publication for its youngest comic readers. Cat in the Hat Knows A Lot About That Prize Pack

On Friday March 2nd PBS Kids is celebrating Dr. Seuss’ 108th birthday with a marathon of Cat in the Hat Knows A Lot About That episodes. Eight Episodes over two hours of the Cat plus Nick and Sally, the Fish and Thing One and Thing Two exploring the world and learning more about Science. One full hour includes four new episodes (each half hour episode actually contains two separate episodes). I received a screener of those episodes to watch with Eva. I also received two Cat in the Hat Knows A Lot About That gift packages to giveaway to you! You can enter to win below the press release.

How were the episodes? I thought that they were pretty decent. I enjoyed the ones about seasons most of all. Those were fun because they followed some plants and animals as they changed with the seasons. The episodes worked really well in that regard.

Also PBS KIDS is hosting a Twitter Party on Thursday, March 1 from 9 -10 p.m. ET with Random House. You are all invited to join the fun if you can and of course please help spread the word. The hashtag is #cithathon
