Pumpkin Pie, Gingerbread, White Chocolate, Caramel Ice Cream

Pumpkin Pie Gingerbread White Chocolate Caramel
Photo-A-Day #1328

This past week in the newspaper there was a coupon for a Cold Stone Creamery cake, $3.00 off. With their ice cream cakes starting at $26.00 that doesn’t even begin to make a dent. There was also an ad for an ice cream pumpkin pie. I said I’d pick one up and today on the way home from work I stopped into a Cold Stone to get one. They didn’t have any and the person behind the counter looked like she had never heard of the product. So I asked if they had pumpkin ice cream, they did. Great well I will get a quart of that.

But wait, at Cold Stone Creamery you can mix in other things and the size container I chose allowed for 4 free mix-ins. I am NOT about to forgo a free mix-in. So I started with what I thought would make a good pumpkin pie, graham cracker crumbs. Graham cracker crumbs would make a good pie crust. Then I took the suggestion of my ice cream designer and chose caramel sauce. White chocolate chips are a mix in I generally get in everything, I don’t like them on their own but mixed in with a bunch of other stuff makes them a good addition. The final ingredient were gingerbread cookies. So This basically has a double crust of graham and gingerbread. It looks and smells delicious and just thinking about the ingredients makes my mouth water. But we will have to wait till tomorrow to find out how it tastes.

So, what should I name this concoction?

Have a Happy Thanksgiving everyone and remember that I have two contests happening right now. One is to choose the 12 photos from this past year that should be part of the 2009 Photo-A-Day Calendar and the other is for a Digital Photo Frame from Edge Tech Corp. Easy to enter and you have 4 more days.

Hoodsie Cups

Hoodsie Cups
Photo-A-Day #1316

When I was a kid the one thing I really looked forward to when I went to a birthday party was whether or not there were Hoodsie Cups. I guess I got so excited over Eva’s first birthday and wanted to make sure that we had enough of them on hand that I bought a supply that has lasted us for a whole extra month. But they are so tasty.

Today was an interesting day at work. I am in a new position now and it is like I’ve changed companies completely because I have to learn a whole new dynamic. Don’t get me wrong I really like that but it is all so new and different. I am now going to be a trainer of new hires as well as an asset to existing marketing support reps. This means that I will be working one-on-one, in small groups and also in front of large groups. I have already found something that I think will make a great project and that is working with Adobe Captivate. I have some big plans for that program and it is really great because I know Adobe products very well.

I received my latest copy of Popular Photography and they are offering that if I renew for one year they will give me two Gift Subscriptions to send to friends. I’m pretty sure that means a contest is on the horizon because I would really like to offer that to someone. Two someones actually.

NBC has given the ax to freshman show My Own Worst Enemy. I’ve been watching it and I don’t hate it. It isn’t the best show out there but it is pretty decent. Then again, I am a big fan of Christian Slater. I guess I’ll have to watch Gleaming the Cube, Heathers and Pump Up The Volume to mark the passing of this show.

I installed the WordPress 2.7 Beta in an effort to fix whatever issue is happening with the indefinite loop of custom fields. They are all Blog Authors fields and I know this happened because I imported that file of old blog posts. I imported it multiple times and it created multiple versions of posts all over my blog. I went through and got rid of all of them but I think I am still going to go over each and every post with a fine toothed comb to make sure that they are all correct, and optimized for search engines.

I may spotlight some of my old posts too to bring some new life to some of the cool stuff I’ve written in the past. Going over all those posts in a quick manner today was a race back in time to 5 years ago when I started this blog. And even though I went that far back I still said to myself why didn’t I start blogging sooner.
