Zoo Moon 2015 at Capron Park Zoo

Photo-A-Day #3757

Tonight was Zoo Moon at the Capron Park Zoo. We took the kids over enjoy the zoo at night with all the different vendors. We enjoyed some beef jerky that was made with a special rub. We came back and saw this vendor again and purchased a container of the rub. I would like to make a brisket with this rub or some ribs, at some point. It was very good.

Speaking of BBQ and such the poor lions had a BBQ food truck parked right in front of their enclosure. I know how my cats are around BBQ and I can only imagine how the lions must have been having their mouths watering. I got a couple nice shots of one of the lionesses, the one above and a shot of Ramses, the male white lion. I was using my new 50-150mm S lens on my NX1. I really like that lens on that camera. I also got a vertical camera grip to add to the NX1. Adding all of that to the camera made it huge!

The event was a good time and Andrew got to have the ice cream that he enjoys, it is called Like no Udder, a Vegan Ice Cream Truck. We each had some of the ice cream. It was good, I tried it but at least it is somethign Andrew can eat.

It turns out that I spent more time with her than anticipated because Allison wasn’t feeling so well this morning (no the baby did not arrive yet, we are still on Babywatch 2011) and so I took Eva to school and picked her up. I was planning on picking her up anyway to take her for lunch and then to a park of the zoo. We had a lunch at McDonalds and she played int he playground inside. Then we went over to the Capron Park Zoo because it was so beautiful outside. Continue reading Spending Some Pre-Baby QT with Eva
