I few days Back I published a post about the new packs that were coming to LEGO Dimensions. Well, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has released a trailer for the upcoming Teen Titans Go Funpack and Team Pack. These will unlock an exclusive in-game episode which will be quite cool. The trailer shows glimpses of the Battle Arena and it also confirms what I already suspected about Robin and Cyborg’s figures in the game. You’ll see when you watch the trailer.
The Teen Titans Go! Fun Pack and Team Pack is set to release on September 12, 2017 as part of the LEGO Dimensions Wave 9 launch, alongside the Powerpuff Girls Team Pack and Fun Pack and the Beetlejuice Fun Pack. The Teen Titans Go! packs access an exclusive in-game episode that can only be found in LEGO Dimensions.
I received the Story Pack for The LEGO Batman Movie for LEGO Dimensions from Warner Interactive Entertainment to play with and review. This is a review of the LEGO pieces for the game with some limited gameplay, but not much. More gameplay will happen in another video
This past Saturday I went and saw the LEGO Batman Movie. It was a lot of fun and it made really excited to get home to the package that was waiting for me with the LEGO Batman Movie Story Pack for LEGO Dimensions. I could not wait to play it. However, I would have to wait a few more days until today to actually get to play the game. There was also the downloading of the new software updates but I was smart about that, I got that done in the morning so that I could play the game when it came time to get down to playing.
The Story pack comes with the Bat Computer ” ‘Puter” plus Batgirl and Robin. Batgirl is considered a Bonus Minifig for the game. There is also the vehicle, the Batwing that can also become Black Thunder and the Bat Tank. The Scuttler would have been cool but that would have been super complicated to make with this set. You also have to have the Batman minifig that comes with the starter pack to get the game started. This figure then becomes the LEGO Batman character from the movie. Robin can do a fun costume change but I won’t tell you what it is in case you haven’t already seen the movie. Robins abilities are: Acrobat, Illumination, Fix-It, Dive, Vent Access and when he does his Suit Rip he can: Vine Cut, Laser Deflector, Pole Vault and Glide. Batgirl can throw batarangs and she is also very smart and can solve puzzles. Here abilities are: Boomerang, Grapple, Rope Swing, Detective Mode, Stealth, Glide and High Security Access.
We also opened the Excalibur Batman figure which comes with the Bionic Steed. Excalibur Batman has the abilities of – Boomerang, Sword Switch, Vine Cut, Stealth, Laser Deflector, Grapple, Super Strength and Master Build. The Bionic Steed can be reconfigured into the Bat-Raptor and the Ultrabat.
Gameplay with all the characters was really fun. We had a good time playing and these would certainly be welcome additions to any player’s collection of LEGO Dimensions. Here is our video including a bat computer speed build.
This morning the kids were looking out the window in the dining room and Eva noticed a big fat robin out on one of the branches of a small tree in the side yard. I quickly got my camera to snap the photo of this cold little guy. I try and catch photos of the birds in our trees often but usually they are flitting about way too fast. This one sat and sat and didn’t move for a while.
I always like working with brands that have Superhero products. Mattel has a new line of Batman figures called Batman Power Attack. I found out about bloggers hosting Batman Power Attack themed parties and I inquired. I didn’t fit all of the qualifications but I proposed that I review a couple of the toys from the line and donate additional toys to Christmas is for Kids. They said sure and so I have a ton of fantastic Batman toys to donate to Christmas is for kids and a couple of cool ones for us. Batman is Eva’s favorite superhero. She once asked me to tell her all about Batman which was not easy to explain to a sensitive five year old who wouldn’t understand the intricacies of why Batman is how he is. But I must have been able to tell her something that she liked because she is now a fan and she loved these toys which are geared towards younger kids (4-8).
Sofia and her animal friends Whatnaught, Clover, Robin and Mia
When I showed Eva the trailer for Sofia the First: Once Upon a Princess tonight I watched as her eyes widened in the kind of amazement that only a girl of 5 (almost) going on 15 could have. When the trailer finished she looked at me and said, that is my favorite new show ever! She immediately wanted to watch the trailer again. I don’t have the trailer to post but it can be found on the Sofia the First website. Go over to DisneyJunior.com/Sofia so that you can watch it with your little princess.
