Building A Stop Motion Space For My Daughter

My Minifig
Photo-A-Day #4397

My Daughter has caught the Stop Motion bug. We started with the program Stop Motion Explosion on my computer and Eva made a couple of Stop Motion movies with our Modibots.

This past weekend I was at Philly BrickfFest Live where I met Dave Pickett from Brick 101. I bought his book The LEGO Animation Book. He even signed it and that thrilled Eva to no end.

When I got home I looked around my office and decided to move the studio back upstairs but also build in some space where Eva could work on her Stop Motion Creations as well.

REVIEW: LEGO 76058 – Spider-Man Ghost Rider Team-Up

Photo-A-Day #4374

Today Andrew and I built the Spider-Man Ghost rider Team-Up LEGO Set (76058) that is part of the Marvel superheroes line. We had a nice time doing it and he really enjoyed playing with the minifigs. Although he liked the newspapers even more. The kid was more interested in what was in the trash (which was funny) and the newspapers, which he calls “Papes” because of Newsies.

I had been shying away from doing many LEGO posts because I’ve been doing so much LEGO with Brian over at Built from Bricks and I didn’t want to step on any of the shows. This set was one that Brian and Steve did a long while ago and I just picked up because it dropped in price at Target. I’ve been meaning to build more LEGO sets with Andrew and Eva whenever I can. Today we had time so we started and completed this build. It was a nice one and I love the chopper. It is awesome and the three tone flames are fantastic! More in today’s video.
