Make the Call to Start a “Heart 2 Heart” Conversation With Your Dad

Disclosure: I have partnered with Life of Dad and Meta Wellness for this promotion.

Answer that Call for a Heart 2 Heart

When I went to Dad 2.0 Summit I heard so many great stories about being a dad. I was also privileged to see Michael Strahan speak. Part of his message was about the “Heart 2 Heart” campaign from Meta Wellness which encourages men to have important health conversations with their loved ones. It was for Heart Health month, which was February, but the importance of men talking about health. Especially men talking with their fathers about health. I knew that I would be a part of this campaign and would be talking with my own dad about health and wellness. Except I was a bit nervous about it because, while we do talk on a regular basis, talking about health can be a challenge especially with someone who has taught me so much. I may be in my forties, yikes, but it is hard not to feel like a little kid around your own parents.

Despite my nerves about having a conversation on this subject with my dad I did have some tips from Michael Strahan on having a “Heart 2 Heart” conversation with my dad like he did with his dad.

As a catalyst for conversation, the “Heart 2 Heart” campaign is providing a first-hand look at how easy it is to have a heart health talk with your loved one through a new video showcasing Michael Strahan’s intimate conversation with his father, Gene – and tips on how to help your loved one jumpstart their heart-healthy routine with Meta. You can see that conversation in this video spr.ly/H2HLOD.

Looking Ahead with TMNT, LEGO Avengers, and The Galaxy S7 Edge

The Galaxy S7 Edge comes out tomorrow. Ever since I saw the Samsung event annouceing this new phone I have been looking forward to it. I wasn’t quite sure if I should wait to see if it would be coming to me from the Imagelogger program, but when I saw that I’d get a free Gear VR as well then I jumped and pre-ordered it. Then I went to the Verizon store to turn in one of my existing phones (I have a bunch from review) and get some credits. So that will cover my change to the new phone.

After my trip to The Verizon store I popped in to Toys R Us and saw that they had some Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Sprukits on clearance. The price was excellent and I am looking forward to making some videos of me assembling those TMNT Sprukits. Those were great looking kits and when I saw them at Toy Fair I really wanted to get them. I’d like to see them make even better level 2 or 3 figures.

When I got home I found a nice big box from the #PlayLikeHasbro program that I am part of. The box contained some My Little Pony Equestria Girls Minis, Mr. Potato Head Bumblebee, Transformers and some Titan Series figures like Iron Man and Rey from A Force Awakens.

Oh yeah, and you may have noticed that I got a haircut.
