Today the new iPad was released in stores. I did not get one. I have a first generation iPad and both Allison and I let Eva use our iPads for her own apps. So we wont be passing down our iPads anytime soon, maybe when iPad 4 comes out, we’ll see. However, I did have an old iPod Touch that I passed down to Eva. We gave Eva’s old video iPod to Andrew so that there could be music in his room.
I’m pretty sure that I secured the device so that Eva would be safe on it but I’m going to run through these tips below inspired from a recent PBS Kids survey. I’m very excited to announce a great special from PBS KIDS because I’ve just started on as a PBS KIDS VIP, a group of parent bloggers who will be ambassadors to PBS through their blogs and other social media outlets. I’ll be attending the PBS annual meeting, talking about the PBS shows, apps and other special programs as well. The first is the celebration of Dr. Seuss’ 108th birthday.
To celebrate Dr. Seuss’ 108th birthday on March 2, 2012 PBS KIDS is having a two-hour marathon of their popular new series The Cat in The Hat Knows A Lot About That! including two brand new episodes. I’ve watched a few of these episodes and what I’ve noticed is that the episodes focus on learning about traits of animals.
