Eva and Andrew ready for bed. Now it is time for Mommy and Daddy to clean up from dinner and finish up all the last minute Christmas Preparations. A little wrapping left to do and some dishes to wash, we’re in pretty good shape. Of course I had to help Santa with that giant cookie and Allison wrote a note from Santa to Eva and Andrew. It always makes me excited each Christmas morning when we read the letter to Eva. I think she’s going to flip out this year.
The little red snitch went back into his little plastic prison for the next eleven months. He’ll return the day after Thanksgiving again. This year Fitzy was all over the place culminating with a tree topping rendezvous with the Christmas Angel. Eva loved looking for Fitzy every morning and I think she’s going to be a little bummed out for a moment tomorrow when she realizes that he’s gone.
We went to Christmas Mass this afternoon and then had Mom, Dad, Tara and Erik over for the traditional Christmas Eva Chicken Stew. Allison has been making this meal since it was Eva’s first Christmas, I think, and we have had the family over for it ever since. It was nice having the meal here at the house for the first time. It was also nice to be able to have more than two people in the kitchen at the same time. My Aunt Luann, my cousin Nick and Luann’s friend Cheryl came for dinner also.
After dinner Eva opened a few presents and she was more than ready for bed. A very overtired child on our hands tonight. I hope that she sleeps a bit later tomorrow morning. But I doubt she will.
thanks…
