I received the MEGA bloks Skylanders Giants set Chompy Bot Attack to play with and review.

Finishing out some of the remaining Skylanders Giants themed sets from MEGA Bloks is the Chompy Bot Attack with Thumpback. The Chompy Bot is featured in a few of the Heroic Challenges from Skylanders Giants. This machine looks like a giant Chompy and it fires Chompies at the Skylanders. I received a special package from MEGA Bloks this past week that included five new products. Three of them were from the new MEGA Bloks Skylanders Swap Force line and two from the Skylanders Giants line. The opinions expressed by me are 100% my own.

Sprocket is one of my favorite Skylanders Giants characters. She is a strong female character that can take care of herself and build fantastic vehicles and weapons to defeat Kaos. This new MEGA Bloks set was a lot of fun to build. Here is the video of it.

MEGA Bloks Skylanders Swap Force Flynn’s Rescue Ship – The Dread Yacht – Play Set

I received a special package from MEGA Bloks this past week that included five new products. Three of them were from the new MEGA Bloks Skylanders Swap Force line and two from the Skylanders Giants line. The opinions expressed by me are 100% my own.

One of the new toys from the Swap Force line was Flynn’s Rescue Ship. This was the toy that I completely geeked out over at Toy Fair. However, the toy fair one was lighter blue, almost teal and had Swarm instead of Magna Charge. I’m not sure why it isn’t called the Dread Yacht because that is the name of Flynn’s ship. I don’t know why it was held back and the colors changed to a brighter blue but maybe I’ll find out when I start playing Swap Force. Either way, it is a fantastic set, probably he best set so far. MEGA Bloks Skylanders Giants – Drobot Battle Portal

I was sent the MEGA Bloks Skylanders Giants Drobot Battle Portal to play with and review. Opinions are, as always, 100% my own.

I like dragons and am excited at how many dragons are part of the Skylanders Universe. I also like robots and so a robotic dragon was something I knew I would really love. Drobot is a fantastic figure in the game and also as part of this battle portal set.

The set is a series 2 battle portal and the base it has is translucent orange. When the battle portal hits something it will flash orange. The set also comes with a sheep, an hourglass blok, a key blok and an elemental symbol blok.

Drobot is a fantastic figure with great detail. He’s got a movable head, tail and legs along with those golden gilded mechanical wings. The detail on figure is perfect down to Drobots sharp pointy teeth. I would have liked to have seen some gears like Drobot has in the video games.

I was sent the MEGA Bloks Skylanders Giants Eruptor Battle Portal to play with and review. Opinions are, as always, 100% my own.

Eruptor is one of those hulking Skylanders figures. He’s not too fast or accurate with his attacks. He splatters hot lava everywhere and destroys those who get too close. He’s got giant club-like hands and a big body. So, in terms of movement the figure can move his arms and rotate his hands. He can also move his legs and feet. His body is one central mass, almost like an egg.

The battle portal is a series 2 portal and has the translucent red blok so that the portal lights up red when it smashes into things. The set comes with a battle bumper, key blok, hourglass blok and a fire element blok as well. The enemy included is a Frigid Chompy. The Frigid Chompy can freeze a Skylander in his tracks.

With Eruptor the Fire Element team is nearly complete. Flameslinger, Ignitor and Hot Dog have already been released and also the forthcoming Hot Head figure that is coming out with Flynn’s Rescue ship. We just need to get Sunurn and all figures will have been released.

MEGA Bloks Skylanders Giants – Molten Hot Dog Battle Portal

I was sent the MEGA Bloks Skylanders Giants Molten Hot Dog Battle Portal to play with and review. Opinions are, as always, 100% my own.

Hot Dog was one of those highly sought after figures. He came out in a special battle pack and then later a variant edition called Molten Hot Dog. This particular set features Molten Hot Dog. There is a Series 3 Battle Portal coming out soon with Hot Dog who is more red. This set comes with a red fire imp as the enemy. There is also a battle bumper, hourglass blok, key blok and elemental blok.

The battle portal is a series two portal. Because Hot Dog is a Fire Element character the portal has red translucent blok on it so that when it crashes it lights up red. Hot Dog is very well done. The sculpt looks wonderful and Molten Hot Dog’s head moves, so does his legs and fiery tail.

MEGA Bloks Skylanders Giants – Stealth Elf Battle Portal

I was sent the MEGA Bloks Skylanders Giants Stealth Elf Battle Portal to play with and review. Opinions are, as always, 100% my own.

Stealth elf is part of the Series 2 of Battle Portals. These portals are different from series one in that they have translucent colored bases that correspond with the elemental colors of the characters. So, when the portal lights up it will light up green for Stealth elf who is a Life Skylander.

The set comes with an elemental symbol, hourglass and key bloks. It also comes with a battle bumper that sticks to smooth surfaces with a suction cup. The enemy that comes with the set is an En Fuego Chompie. This is the variety of red chompy that explodes when it gets close to a Skylander. Our central character is Stealth Elf. She is a great looking figure that comes complete with her signature bone knives. She moves at the head, shoulders legs and feet for many different poses. A complete review is in the video below.

I was sent the MEGA Bloks Skylanders Giants Gill Grunt Battle Portal to play with and review. Opinions are, as always, 100% my own.

Gill Grunt has been one of my favorite figures and playable characters in the Skylanders series of games. I even made sure to get a few of the very special editions of the character. So, when Gill was released on his own battle portal I was excited.

The battle portal is a Series Two battle portal and the first Water element one to be released. The battle portal has translucent blue blok on it so that when it crashes into something and lights up it lights up blue.

The set comes with a battle bumper, elemental symbol, hourglass piece and key piece. The enemy contained in the set is a fire imp. This is the first instance of a fire imp in a set and it is a nice alternative to another Chompy. Although, Chompies are very prevalent in the Skylanders games.

The Gill figure itself is very well done. He looks great and has excellent accessories like his harpoon gun and his water tanks that let him propel himself around or shoot massive streams of water at enemies. Gill moves at the shoulders, his hands turn, his feet and legs also move. I’m glad to finally have him in my collection of Skylanders MEGA Bloks figures.

MEGA Bloks Skylanders Giants: Glow-In-The Dark Biclops Enemy Pack

I received a whole new crop of MEGA Bloks Skylanders Giants toys to try out and review. as always, opinions are 100% my own.

The Biclops from Skylanders is a pretty cool character. With eyes that are set one above the other and a giant double edged ax the character is also called an Axecutioner. The Biclops has a great design. Not only is one eye above the other but the top eye is peeking out through the executioner’s hood that he wears. He also has a little chin beard as well. This Enemy Pack contains the Biclops, which Glows-In-the-Dark and is exclusive to Walmart, and a multi-position-able laser. It also has a torch which makes little sense for a guy who can light his own way, but maybe that is just me.

MEGA Bloks Skylanders Giants: KAOS Enemy Pack

Kaos and the En Fuego Chompies

I received a whole new crop of MEGA Bloks Skylanders Giants toys to try out and review. as always, opinions are 100% my own.If you missed the Dark Castle Conquest set or if it was just too expensive for you then you are in luck and can get yourself a MEGA Bloks Skylanders Giants Kaos figure. The latest Mega Bloks set with Kaos is what is called an Enemy Pack. Similar to the Hero Packs but the only difference is that the pack features bad guys from the Skylanders Universe. This set features Kaos and his flying throne plus a couple of En Fuego Chompies (Red Chompies).
